I'm starting to branch out into a little bit of web design. Including sites for a local Executive Car Hire firm (www.avantgarde-executive.co.uk), bowls club (www.bicesterbowlsclub.co.uk), a Bed and Breakfast (www.kimbleycottage.co.uk), my wedding site (www.ajbigday.co.uk), a design for (www.shabash.net) and this site. See the sections below for more details.
I'm always willing to create sites for anyone, so if you need a site created or designed then drop me a mail and I'll see what I can do. At the moment I'm into css liquid page design, PHP and MySql. I've started to build up a library of components many of which are used in my web projects and are written in PHP and MySql. The following details the components, if I get a chance to clean up the code I will post it for all to download.
A blog / news reporter used to capture thoughts and news articles. The content is entered via FCKeditor which gives a text / word editor type interface, making it easy to input text with styling. The blog can be separated out into different categories, for example on this site I've used it on each project. The content can be filtered based on category or the latest items entered.
Use the guest book / comments section to provide a means for your viewers to get in contact / leave messages about the site. Including a feature to email newly added entries.
A categorised photo album including any level of category nesting. Filtered views for a single or all categories. The upload feature allows resizing / rotation of images as they are uploaded.
Display category based links.
Basic page / file counter, for counting the number of hits or downloads of files.
A form for sending details to either the site owner or a fiend.
Admin sections for the above controlled by a user section for giving users permission to change the content.
My latest website, for Avantgarde Executive Hire, a car hire firm wishing to increase their presence in their local area. They provide an E Class Mercedes for weddings, airports or any special event. This is a very simple site with four pages showing pictures of the car and a booking form which sends a template html file with the results.
A website, produced to provide information about my wedding to my lovely other half. This includes a photo album, guest book and a complete admin site for both of these including sections for photo categories and users. It uses a more dynamic styling with css, its driven by PHP and a MySql database. This site makes use of the Photo Album and Guest Book components described above.
My main website as you already know since your looking at it. This is a bit more power site, including a blog section for each project, user feedback sections, resource database. This is a completely liquid css design, again powered by PHP and MySql. This site makes use of the Blog, Guest Book and resource components described above.
Kimbley Cottage is a very nice Bed and Breakfast in Rye (Sussex, UK). The website uses a simple and clean interface to provide information / photos about the cottage and the surrounding areas. The website is a mixture of static and dynamic content, including a guestbook, contact us and links for areas of interest. All of these features are configured through a secured admin site.
Shabash is a new start-up company who are working on a suite of tools which integrate with Microsoft Word for mark-up / delivery of content (books / articles). The tool will load a word document and automatically correct it and markup it up as xml and can then be outputted to html, PDF, xml formats. I designed the initial layout / look and feel of the website.
Bicester Bowls Club is a local outdoor lawn bowls club. Provides a history of the grounds and club house, contact details, location, surrounding clubs, photos and facilities. This was the very first website I designed, I stopped updating it a couple of years ago so it has become a bit static.

As part of the above website I'm in the process of redesigning my web components. To make them easier to use and to deploy, and as I finish them, I'll make them available for download under the GPL.

I've designed two websites as listed above and this one of course so far and I'm currently looking for some more sites. I have another site to do for a charity which sponsors children out in Africa, but I haven't started that one yet still waiting for some more information.
The Bicester bowls club website I haven't touched in about a year so much of that is static content.
