I'm still alive, but didn't produce anything last year. I started quite a few projects and also gave up on a few to, mostly from lack of time
I started to write a complete n tier system around PHP with loads of common code for producing new websites really easily and with loads of features. It took a bit long than I thought and so have put that on the back burner for now.
Started another game with Craig Marshall, a 2D scroller / shooter game but that didn't really get off the ground, we were both too busy.
I'm now learning about OpenGL and 3D games, I've create a window toolkit with windows, menus, buttons, checkboxes, dropdown lists etc, which is an upgraded version of that used in Bubble Train and uses OpenGL. I've also learnt how to build some very basic 3D models in Blender, which I'm working on loading into my next game.
So hopefully I will produce something this year, I'll keep you posted....

Games
Bubble Train is a bubble shooting, train trouble arcade game. This time I've teamed up
with Craig Marshall (www.craigmarshall.org). Some of the cool features include
a level editor, multiple games to play, themes for different levels. The first version is now finished
and ready to download including instructions, screenshots and 3 wallpapers.

Connect 4 is the latest game development to come from Dwarf City,
it is a remake of the classic game with a simple gui interface. For those
of you who haven't seen connect 4; players take it in turns to insert counters
into the board and the first player to get 4 counters in a line wins.
The purpose of the project was to add some AI to my games.
This is a one player game against the computer.
The computer has three different levels of difficulty, and the tally of games
won, lost and drawn is kept for each session to see how you fair against it.

Make sure you don't get bricked in, try to put a stop
to it NOW. Knock out complete rows from the wall to stop it
building to high. If the bricks reach the top then your stuck
forever. So don't become a cropper and get knocking. "The
wall" is a Tetris style clone using the mouse or traditional
keys to demolish the wall.

Web Design
I'm starting to branch out into a little bit of web design. Including sites for a local Executive Car Hire firm (www.avantgarde-executive.co.uk), bowls club (www.bicesterbowlsclub.co.uk), a Bed and Breakfast (www.kimbleycottage.co.uk), my wedding site (www.ajbigday.co.uk), a design for (www.shabash.net) and this site.
More websites are coming soon, I'm also going to open source all of the php web components i've used in my websites.
