The Wall
Overview
The first game release for dwarf city is a Tetris clone called 'The Wall'. It's a classic version with interesting graphics along the same theme of walls. I love playing this game, which made development very difficult. Every time I was testing the game I'd get carried away and spend hours playing instead of programming it. As a consequence my highest score is 28,470 which took a while especially when it reached the higher levels. Why not email me your highest score at dwarfcity@dwarfcity.co.uk and I'll post a list of the highest ones.
Objective
Score as many point as possible. Gain points by manoeuvring the falling bricks to complete a row of bricks in the wall. Once a row is complete it is removed from the wall. You get even more points if you remove more than one row at a time. The points also increase with the difficulty level.
Feature List
Graphics
Pleasing graphics which is a completely different design to the original.
Controls
Use either the traditional keys or enjoy a completely new world and use the mouse to have total control over the pieces.
Bricks
To give the game a bit of variety you can change the style of the bricks at any time. See below for the bricks available.

High score
Keep track of your highest score. With an encrypted score sheet so you can't cheat.
Sound
The game sounds an explosion when you complete a row in the wall. As well as when you change level and become caved in. The sound can be switched off via the menu.

Release Notes
- The game was developed on a Windows XP machine and hasn't been run on any other platform.
- There was a problem with windows 98 where it didn't render the falling blocks properly. I think I've fixed it but haven't got windows 98 installed to test it. So if you use it on Win98 and it doesn't work then let me know and I'll try again.
